What is a Medicare Supplement?
Medicare Supplement plans (also called “Medigap”) are offered by private insurance companies, but Medicare sets the rules for what each plan must cover. At iHealthcompare, we partner with some of the biggest and most trusted carriers across the country.
Original Medicare provides a lot of benefits, but it doesn’t cover everything. If you see more than one doctor or manage ongoing health conditions, those extra costs can pile up fast. That’s where a Medicare Supplement plan can make a big difference.
With Original Medicare, you’re still responsible for out-of-pocket costs like co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles. A Medicare Supplement plan helps with those expenses. Medicare pays its share of approved healthcare costs, and then your Medigap plan helps cover the rest—giving you more peace of mind and protection from surprise bills.
